The laptop's delayed by 2 weeks; then I'll be more regular. Thanks for your patience. Arnav's restarted again, his new link's been added. Another revival from hibernation in the offing. Just in case you're a chance visitor to this blog, the photo above is not of the Himalaya, but of the Western Ghats, on the southwest coast of India. This is taken from a place called IIM Kozhikode, which probably has the most beautiful educational campus in India; in Kerala state. This photo doesn't do justice to the greenery here, will post those when I restart. |

| Solo August 1, 2005 08:37 PM PDT Hi Arnav, QE, Nadir (Had to spend some time finding out who you really are); midterms going on right now. Have 2 exams tomorrow (for which I've studied little), and the ethernet connection in my room isn't working. Will be sometime before it's fixed. That, anyway, is not the constraint. I want to write a good post (Good in my opinion, of course), so am waiting for a larger window of opportunity. Please wait a few more days, and thanks again for being patient with a chap like me (Had I been the reader on such a blog, I would've stopped coming to it after a month or so.) | ||

| Arnav July 25, 2005 04:01 PM PDT Thousand pages of pending reading work! Someone's even more relaxed than I tend to be in my courses...and it's just about a month into the course! | ||
| Solo July 25, 2005 01:37 PM PDT Hi Smitali, Arnav; yes, this is from within the campus. Actually, almost all photos that use the Sky tastefully look beautiful, but in the cities, you hardly get a panoramic view that's uninterrupted by buildings, and the sky's rarely blue enough. I took another photo along with this that has a higher horizon and you can see parked cars etc; it looks uglier, though more believable. That's not snow cover, but low-hanging clouds. Clouds often flow across the campus. The major cover on these hills is coconut, coconut, and some more coconut. Rains come here on an almost hourly basis, and it's mostly wet greenery that meets the eye wherever you look. Breathtaking place. Not surprisingly, I've let studies accumulate till I've over a thousand pages of pending textbook readings; so will take your leave now. This comment does not mean a return to regular blogging, yet. | ||
| Smitali July 25, 2005 09:23 AM PDT Beautiful pic.. no doubt bout it | ||
| Arnav July 25, 2005 04:32 AM PDT The pic's from within the campus! It's beautiful, and that's the understatement of the year. Well, I have seen far too many pics of your campus now to be surprised really. The peaks almost look snow-covered! | ||
